This week it was announced that the upcoming release of PhoneGap 1.3, henceforth to be known as Apache Cordova, will include full support for Windows Phone 7. The name change will be postponed until release 1.4, but many new features are set to be announced for this release.
Along with bug fixes and new tools, controls and features for Android and iOS, some of the most important changes affect BlackBerry and OSX support, which allows Mac developers to join the fun. Other major additions include support for Windows Phone 7, which is now fully supported through the use of the PhoneGap API. Developers can now exclusively use HTML5 and JavaScript to create apps for all major mobile platforms.
