Firefox To Release New Web Development Tools in 2012

Firefox is going to make the next year very exciting for web developers, because when they release Firefox 10 early in the year, it will ship with HTML and CSS inspector functionality which assists web developers with code inspection and debugging.

Other new tools will include a 3-D page inspector and a code editor that will be built-in to the browser. The company behind the Firefox browser, Mozilla, has indicated that the addition of the new developer tools will be the basis for eventually replacing the Firebug extension, which provides many powerful web development features.

Kevin Dangoor, one of the Mozilla team himself, stated that “we think Firebug is awesome… that’s why we invest so heavily in it already, more so than for any other add-on. We also want to explore new approaches to developer tools.”
