Mobile Video Apps Becoming More Important

Mar 31, 2011

According to the results of a recent survey taken by TNS Mobile Life, growth in mobile will be largely driven by an increased demand for video services. The survey was based on 34,000 interviews with mobile users in over 43 countries.

The results also showed that mobile devices are becoming the primary device that is used for internet access and communication. Entertainment and multimedia functionality were cited as a key requirement in emerging mobile markets,

The strongest growth in new services over the last year has come from social video according to the report, and TNS Mobile Life stated that half of those polled were also interested in watching live mobile TV or streaming video.
