Not even 48 hours after the discovery of the Ghost vulnerability, researchers also discovered that PHP apps, such as WordPress, could now be on the list of vulnerable content management systems open to an attack. The vulnerability in glibc can allow attackers in a small group of applications could now have remotely run executable code run, allowing attackers to gain control of a Linux server.
