Along with the surge in connectivity for consumers must come innovation to handle the demands of such a surge. HTML5 has arrived just in time to deal with those demands, and Apress Media recently announced the publication of a book for developers entitled “Pro HTML5 Programming” which deals with that topic.
By using HTML5, developers will be able to build the type of apps that consumers are expecting–exciting, interactive, next-generation web apps that are engaging and responsive. Building such apps will require less coding for programmers, but they will need to work smarter, not harder, in order to take advantage of the technology.
The co-author of the book, Peter Lubbers, recently discussed the subject of HTML5, stating that “We’re super excited about HTML5. If you want to build a universal web application, you cannot avoid HTML5 anymore. HTML5 is packed with great features and new APIs and this book was written for anyone looking to give their web apps an extra edge. With this major revision of HTML, web applications take on a power, ease, and responsiveness that simply did not exist before.”
