Developers Using Quick Sprites to Optimize Websites

This week Tellini announced the release of its Quick Sprites 1.1 app. Available on the Mac App store, Quick Sprites enables developers to create and maintain CSS sprite sheets. Sprite sheets are a single image which is comprised of several smaller images. By using CSS sprites, there are less HTTP requests from the browser when loading and rendering a web page.

By using Quick Sprites, a developer is able to speed up the loading of their websites–an important factor these days for search engine indexing results. Developers have already been taking advantage of CSS sprites for website optimization, however until now the creation of sprite sheets was a tedious, time consuming process.

Quick Sprites also simplifies the maintanance process, automatically reorganizing and updating your CSS stylesheets as your website evolves.
