Although there is a wide assortment of options for virtual machines available, the release of the VMware vCloud SDK for PHP beta is another example of the expansion in available language support for the PHP developer community.

Using a few lines of code from an example on the VMware developer community portal, you can develop your own virtual machine. More examples and resources are available for download for developers who register with the VMware community portal.

Currently, an introduction to the vCloud SDK (Software Developers Kit) for PHP, and the SDK programming guide is available from the portal resource area.
