WordPress.com Announces the Launch of Their New Portfolio Vertical

Automattic, the creators of WordPress.com have announced that they have created a new vertical for portfolio sites designed to provide photographers, videographers, illustrators, painters, designers and others who want to showcase their creations on WordPress.com while current WordPress.com users have been able to choose existing basic themes for their sites, however now Automattic has made a Portfolio Vertical a priority.
