Treesaver Debuts Magazines Using HTML, JavaScript and CSS

Treesaver has come out with a concept that is, well, almost overdue. Just as we all expected to have our jetpack and sky car like the Jetsons, Treesaver has created a presentation framework for magazines that uses HTML, JavaScript and CSS, and is viewable in any web browser.

Treesaver has many of the features that you would expect from an online magazine–a sharp, clean, reader-friendly content wrapper, combined with a very user-friendly interface. As you would expect from most devices these days, pages can be navigated by swiping from side-to-side, and pages will dynamically resize for different screens and resolutions, even as you increase or decrease the size of the browser.

One of the founders of Treesaver, Filipe Fortes, believes the concept will win users over, gaining a wider audience, with more supported devices, access to social networking tools, content embedding and more. The code for the project will be released as open source software very soon.
