Facebook Updates Facebook SDK for iOS Development

Aug 12, 2010

Facebook this week announced an update for its Facebook Software Developer’s Kit (SDK) for the iOS–which includes the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch–to include access to Facebook’s popular Open Graph API.

The Open Graph API, which was launched earlier this year at Facebook’s F8 conference, makes it easier for developers to integrate Facebook functionality into their websites, including the now common “Like” button.

Another addition to the Facebook SDK is support for Facebook OAuth 2.0, which is replacing Facebook Connect. Facebook hopes that their Facebook SDK will bring the functionality of the social networking site to the millions of iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users, and developers are eager to take advantage of that technology.
