Polaris is a new browser-agnostic system capable of decreasing webpage load times by as much as 34% using a method of overlapping the downloading of a page’s objects so the whole page loads faster. Researchers from MIT and Harvard universities have banded together to develop a system known as Polaris which so far has already caused Google to begin taking the load speed into account when it comes to website rankings.
