Introducing the JavaScript IDE: ebStorm 3.0

This week JetBrains announced the release of WebStorm 3.0, a JavaScript integrated development environment (IDE) that can be used to write and edit JavaScript code for web pages and web apps. This release includes support for CoffeeScript, integration with JSLint, and support for Node.JS.

The project lead for WebStorm, Alexey Gopachenko, discussed the release, stating that “JavaScript has become one of today’s most popular languages, and as such deserves proper, full-fledged support in an IDE. The key thing in an IDE is to enhance developer productivity by offering smart ways to use the latest standards and technologies. By listening to our users, we ensure short, feedback-oriented release cycles so that WebStorm always stays on the cutting edge no matter what new technology comes to the scene.”

Interested developers can download a 30-day trial of WebStorm 3.0 from the JetBrains website.
