This week version 3.2 of the GTK+ GUI library was released, and includes improved CSS theming support, new GtkLockButton and GtkOverlay widgets, an updated file selector and a new group of widgets called GtkFontChooser. The high point of the release is likely to be the much-anticipated support for HTML5 the Wayland display server.
Originally called the Gimp Tool Kit, GTK+ was created to be used within image processing applications. As a cross platform tool kit, it enables developers to create applications for Linux, Unix, Mac OS X and Windows operating systems.
