How Well Does Your Browser Support HTML5? Put it to the Test!

Jun 7, 2010

Although the Flash vs. HTML5 debate rolls on, HTML5 promises more than just web video. New elements and attributes have replaced old ones–and you can see how your favorite browser stacks up in a new website designed to test web browsers for HTML5 compliance.

Although most websites have yet to utilize the features of HTML5, a few, such as YouTube, have begun to add HTML5 videos instead of using Flash. The majority of internet users have yet to experience the features and functionality the emerging standard brings with it.

A site called HTML5 Test will show you in a couple seconds how well your favorite web browser does in regards to HTML5 support. The site displays a result score for your browser, along with detailed information about each HTML5 element and its score.
