Google this week announced the release of the latest version of its Web Toolkit. Google Web Toolkit (GWT) version 2.2 includes a plugin for Eclipse which allows drag-and-drop user interface construction.
GWT allows developers to create web applications with JavaScript, HTML and CSS, and now supports HTML5 features including canvas, audio and video elements. While the toolkit still has work that is unfinished (Google themselves warn that support for some features is still experimental and changes could come down the pike in the near future.
