After years of waiting, the Drupal 7 content management system (CMS) has finally been released to the public. This release, which has been in development for three years, was built with a focus on better usability.
The founder of Drupal, Dries Buytaert, said about the release, “We contracted with some of the world’s best usability experts and we paid them for work on Drupal 7 usability for six months.”
New features for this release include improvements for end users as well as administrators and content providers. Buytaert is confident that the new changes will both improve the user experience as well as enable developers to build larger, more robust websites using Drupal 7. “You’ll be able to build much bigger Web sites with Drupal 7 than people have done with Drupal 6,” stated Buytaert.
