Web Developers Struggle to Deal with the iPhone X Notch
Application Security Testing: An Integral Part of DevOps
The design of the new iPhone X poses a dilemma for Web developers. The forthcoming smartphone has a notch at the top of the screen so that it is no longer a true rectangle. Timothy Horton, a member of Apple's WebKit team, has been attempting to reassure developers that Web pages will look fine on the new iPhone because content will automatically be placed in a "safe area" not obscured by the notch. He also said that developers could use new CSS functions that will allow them to place content on either side of the notch.
So far, many developers seem unconvinced. The new phone design means they may need to create different versions of their mobile websites for different devices.
