Oracle Admits Time Running Out for Browser Plugins

Oracle will be retiring the ever criticized Java plugin for browsers after acknowledging the undeniable truth around the future lifespan of other such proprietary technologies. One needs only to look toward Flash, Silverlight and so on. Modern browsers such as Chrome and Firefox will no longer support them.
