Microsoft Increases Bug Bounties for 5 Domains

By HTMLGoodies Staff

Microsoft is temporarily increasing the bug bounties it pays to researchers who find security vulnerabilities in five key domains related to Office 365. Between March 1 and May 1, developers and researchers can earn between $1,000 and $30,000 for finding bugs in portal.office.com, outlook.office365.com, outlook.office.com, *.outlook.com or outlook.com. Payouts depend on the severity of the bug. The company's regular bug bounty program pays $500 to $15,000 for vulnerabilities and up to $100,000 for defenses against mitigation bypasses.

Google also recently boosted its bug bounty program, increasing payouts for Google, Blogger and YouTube bugs by 50 percent.
