ERA-GLONASS is a national system of emergency response and deploys a combination of technologies such as telecommunications, information processing and satellite navigation solutions (GLONASS and GPS). It is run by a non-commercial partnership GLONASS (NP GLONASS), a federal navigation network operator, which is its only operator. Pursuant to its contract with NP GLONASS, Luxoft was operating on a tight time line to develop a software for the navigation and information platform, a complex country-wide system required to interact with numerous external systems and to meet stringent reliability and availability requirements.
