While it's no secret that Facebook is already embracing HTML5 technology as part of its mobile strategy, the verdict is still out as to whether the social networking giant will focus on HTML5 as the primary technology used for apps on its website.

While the focus is currently on mobile platforms, Facebook is already creating its product plan for both developers and end users. As Facebook's Erick Tseng commented, "at the moment we focus on getting our mobile web site with better, we will also continue to through our software development tool for iOS, Android and the blackberry platform developer."

As Facebook internally works on mobile technology using HTML5, it has actively been encouraging social gaming developers to convert to HTML5 instead of proprietary technology such as Adobe Flash.
