We’ve finally arrived at the point in the web’s evolution where HTML5 is no longer just a buzz word–it’s changing our perceptions of what the web is, along with its technological cohorts, CSS3 and JavaScript.
More web browsers are supporting the features of HTML5, and along with browser support came more support for different platforms and devices. The HTML5 specification, which is still forthcoming, can be fully appreciated when it is used in conjunction with the latest version of cascading style sheets (CSS3), and JavaScript (and the various JavaScript libraries that are providing developers with rich feature sets which require minimal coding).
Applications are no longer tied to a desktop–the functionality provided through the combination of these technologies, through the web browser, is opening up new applications for end users and enterprise users alike.
