The Dutch government has decided to unplug their digital ID system for a brief time bringing the Dutch DigiID system offline until an update to Ruby’s Rapid7 installing has a viable update. Dutch’s DigiID system provides the Dutch to a sort of Single Sign On service for the governments various online services and while Ruby on Rails has released an update that provides a patch to the vulnerability the Dutch government responsible for the system is not underestimating the seriousness of this issue.
