Oracle has ceased development of its Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) software, Oracle Virtual Desktop Client software, Oracle Sun Ray software and Oracle Sun Ray client hardware, according to an Oracle blog post this week. Oracle did not respond to any questions regarding how customers should begin to plan their virtual desktop strategies going forward and Oracle has not provided any type of transition plan from the VDI environment.
