Web developers will be excited about the latest offerings from Ajax.org. Cloud9 IDE is Ajax.org’s new cloud-based, open source platform for JavaScript that not only supports HTML5, but also Python, Ruby and PHP.
The Cloud9 online development environment was designed to enable developers to create, test, analyze and debug web applications, and facilitate collaboration with other developers. The tool’s user interface was also built with beginning coders in mind.
The tool is used by accessing it through a standard web browser–mobile, tablet or desktop. Cloud9 itself was written using JavaScript and HTML5, so it can be modified, updated and extended by motivated developers.
