Mobile development and design entails many different aspects, including creating the design, layout, menu systems and the overall user interface. With so many different devices out there to design for, we’ve come up with some tips for mobile design.
The first thing to keep im mind is that visitors to your site are likely to be viewing it on a much smaller screen than that of a standard desktop browser. Being able to zoom in and out is nice, but that functionality isn’t included on many devices. Keep background colors and font visibility in mind as well.
Another aspect to consider is simply not adding too much to your website. Simple icons, easy to use navigation, and a limitation on large graphics will make it easier for mobile users to access the various elements of your website.
