Microsoft Give the Green Light to go Public with Midori

There have been a couple of interesting developments around Microsoft’s “Midori” operating system project. One of those being that Microsoft brass have given Joe Duffy, one of the Midori team members, working under Executive VP Terry Myerson, the green light to go public with at least some information on the non-Windows based Operating System. The other interesting tid-bit of information is that the Midori project has now officially been moved out of mere cultivation, and into the Unified Operating System group. The fledgling OS has a development language all its own, dubbed “M#”, is considered by Microsoft insiders to be an extension of Microsoft’s C# and grew out of the Sing# language, a product of Microsoft’s Singularity Operating System.
