Twitter continues to move forward with the build out of their training program also known as the Twitter University. In that effort, Twitter, the blogging behemoth has announced their acquisition of Marakana, previously a privately owned company that provided open source tech training for a plethora of technologies including Java, Android, HTML5, Python, Scala, and others bosting a track record of over 100,000 software engineers currently in classrooms and in addition to an additional 5,000,000 free online courseworks. Twitter has announced that Marakana will be integrated into Twitter for internal purposes, basically implying that Marakan will not be offering these courses to individuals and organizations any longer.
