In the wake of a record-setting fine against Google in a European antitrust case, Brazil-based Buscapé is pushing ahead with a similar lawsuit against the search giant. Buscapé is a price comparison engine, and it plans to use many of the details from the EU ruling in its own case. The company accuses Google of favoring its own shopping results and blocking Buscapé in search ads.
Buscapé first filed its lawsuit in 2011. It is widely considered the most successful tech startup in Brazil.
