Apple’s Safari Adds Full WebAssembly Support

Apple has announced that it has added full support for WebAssembly to WebKit, the open source engine that powers its Safari browser. Apple describes WebAssembly as a “no-nonsense sidekick to JavaScript.” The technology allows browsers to run languages other than JavaScript, such as C++.

Recently, Web Assembly has been gaining a lot of traction. Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox have also added support for the new bytecode format.
