Apache Announces the Release of Wicket 6.0 Java Web App Framework

The Apache Software Foundation announced today the release of their new version 6.0 of Apache Wicket, the open-source component-based Java Web application framework. The Apache Wicket 6.0 framework is Apache’s latest version of the Java component-oriented Web framework. Currently implemented and used by thousands of developers around the world, including a selection of large and small organizations. Wicket eases the creation and maintenance of complex Java Web applications. Version 6.0 enhances core functionality and offers many new features, from OSGi compatibility to AJAX attributes to big data support. Apache’s new release promises to deliver a revived implementation of the client side API that enables developers to integrate rich JavaScript libraries and components with minimal effort.
