Mozilla Discontinues Firebug

Mozilla is discontinuing development and support for its Firebug debugger tool and instead is encouraging Web developers to use Firefox developer tools. Firebug was a Firefox extension that allow developers to edit and debug CSS, HTML and JavaScript code. Last year, Mozilla began integrating Firebug features into Firefox Developer Tools.

According to the organization, more than a million people are still using Firebug.
