jQuery 2.0 Dropping Support for anything Older then IE9

jQuery has announced that they will drop support for all IE versions prior to IE 9. The next release of jQuery 2.0 will arrive in early 2013 and will support only IE9 and up. The jQuery developers have advised that supporting older version of the popular web browser is interfering with the future roadmap of planned features for the JavaScript library.
