Intel Backs HTML5 with “Big Things on the Horizon”

Cleary Intel is expecting big things from HTML5 in the near and long term future. And while Intel is best known for their world class chip designs, they have also had their hands in software development for decades and with that, this week Intel has announced its support for HMTL5 technologies and the progress of standard programming mechanisms for the building and development of HTML5 based web applications. Intel’s main tool set for HTML5 app development is currently the Intel XDK and with it, HTML5 has featured a set of standard technologies for building so-called modern, multimedia-enhanced Web sites, including the HTML5 specification itself, CSS, JavaScript, and WebSocket for bidirectional Web communications.
