Facebook moves forward with a new innovative programming methodology dubbed functional programming for their updated News Feed being delivered to Apple iOS customers. This has aided significantly in the tuning and debugging of the app on those devices. Functional programming has increased the reliability of the feed and further indicates that the functional style of programming has paid off. As a radically different approach for many programmers, functional programming offers greater paybacks over that of the typical declarative style of programming currently being used today.
