Initially, Box.net provided its users with a native mobile application for the iPhone and iPad. Now they are providing an HTML5-based version of their app that will work on any mobile browser that supports HTML5.

The new HTML5 app includes search functionality--something the Box.net native app lacks. In addition to the new HTML5-based app, Box.net also released a new Android Honeycomb tablet app with scaling functionality as well as a new app for RIM's BlackBerry Playbook.
