iOS Color Palette Tool Updated with Support for iPad

Aug 30, 2010

iPad developers will be happy to hear that MaddySoft’s recently updated Palettes 3.0 not only supported the iPod Touch and iPhone, but also the iPad. Palettes 3.0 enables developers to generate color schemes from different sources, including photographs, websites, CSS and third-party palette files.

The software also allows developers to create color schemes from scratch, and it supports import and exports to Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks, GIMP, Paintshop Pro and OS X Color Chooser. The goal of Palettes 3.0 is to simplify the process of finding matching colors for use on applications and websites for iOS devices.

Many color lists are supported, including SVG, Web Safe, HTML, Java and Apple. Once a scheme is designed, the palette can be exported, exchanged via email or backed up to a local computer for later use.
