New Android Developer Tools Released by Facebook

The spread of mobile social networking, and more specifically, the advances and growth of the Android OS, Facebook has released new tools which enable developers to incorporate social networking features into web applications for the Google platform.


The newly released software development kit (SDK) for Android will provide developers with access to Facebook’s Graph API, along with the ability to authenticate users and allow the posting of updates back to a user’s Facebook page.


According to stats from Facebook, the social networking giant is utilized by more than 100 million people worldwide via a mobile devices and products, the latest of which is O.facebook.com, a stripped down version of Facebook aimed at users in emerging mobile markets.
