Android “Ice Cream Sandwich” Update A One-Size-Fits-All Update

Sep 20, 2011

The upcoming version of the Android operating system, code-named “Ice Cream Sandwich”, has one major advantage over current and past versions of the OS. It will work the same across tablets and smartphones, regardless of screen size.

Developers are concerned about the release because an app that was created for tablets may now work on smartphones as well, something that not all developers are happy about. Others are more interested in making their apps available on all Android devices.
