Although Blogspot used to be a top player in the industry, the real battle is between WordPress, Drupal and Joomla!. Of the three, WordPress is used by over 13% of the million biggest websites in the world.
Drupal, like the other two, offers additional functionality through the use of plugins, and doesn’t require the use of an FTP client–everything is done through the browser. That additional functionality, however, comes with a price: a fairly high learning curve brought on by the complexity of the CMS.
Joomla! and WordPress are equally known for their easy-to-master user interface. Drupal, on the other hand, takes a while to get used to. If you are looking to optimize load times, performance and plan to continue to grow your site well into the future, Drupal may still be the CMS you are looking for.
