Domain Names Are Still Key to Search Engine Optimization

A frequent discussion among search engine optimization (SEO) experts revolves around the bias that Google and Bing have towards domain names. The majority of SEO technicians believe that domain names are still very relevant for top search engine placement.


An exact match for a search term puts websites with matching domains extremely high in the rankings. No other factor even comes close, while it is probable that other factors do influence the high rankings.


Of all the factors involved in SEO, links, elements on the page, keyword usage, URLs–domain names, specifically those that are an exact match for those terms that are searched for, perform the best.
