CRNA Promises Easier Hybrid App Development

Facebook’s React Native framework has become a very popular tool for Web developers who want to create native mobile apps using the JavaScript that they already know. Now the social network is making it easier to use React Native with the Create React Native App (CRNA) tool.

Co-created by Facebook and Expo, CRNA eliminates the need for build configuration. “Many developers struggle with installing and configuring React Native’s current native build dependencies, especially for Android,” said Adam Perry, Expo software engineer. “With Create React Native App, there’s no need to use Xcode or Android Studio, and you can develop for your iOS device using Linux or Windows.”
