Create Multi-Platform HTML5 Apps With New AppMobi XDK

Aug 5, 2011

Developers who are interested in creating HTML5-based web apps will be interested in AppMobi’s Cross-Platform Software Development Kit (XDK). XDK, which AppMobi released this week, can be used to create applications that work on the web as well as mobile devices.

Apps created using the XDK can be be submitted and accepted by app stores such as the Android Market, Chrome Web App Store and Apple App Store. There is no need for Objective C–the XDK includes its own aUX JavaScript libraries and allows developers to create apps using industry standards such as HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.

AppMobi also announced its HTML5 App School, a virtual school for new mobile developers with access to tools, libraries, forums, example code, videos and seminars. New developers are taken through the development process in a virtual school-like environment.
