Microsoft Debuts Internet Explorer 9 Beta
At the release event in San Francisco today, Dean Hachamovitch, general manager for Internet Explorer, stated that "People go to the Web for site, not the browser. Today Web sites are boxed in, the box is the browser."
Developers are looking forward to public acceptance of IE9, as it supports many of the features of HTML 5 that other browsers have already taken advantage of. As the public at large uses HTML 5-capable browsers, developers will be able to utilize those features in websites and applications.
