Open source browser vendor Mozilla has released a new version of Firefox for Android. Called Firefox Focus, it blocks all ads and tracking by default. “Firefox Focus is the automatic private browser that provides tracking protection,” said Barbara Bermes, product manager for Firefox Mobile at Mozilla. “There is no need to set it up, in contrast to any other browser.” Blocking ads can also speed up page loads, but it can negatively impact websites’ ability to generate income.
Firefox Focus for iOS has been available since November 2016.
