Google+ Tools Available Soon to Developers

You may have heard about Google+ by now–the new social networking network has already attracted over 4 million users, and it’s not even public yet. One thing it doesn’t have is developers–they are still waiting for access to the social network–but Google says tools are on the way.

Google is holding back, unlike previous Google services like Wave, which launched first to developers for testing. The company does plan to include developers, as they recently stated that “We definitely plan to involve developers and publishers in the Google+ project, but we don’t have specific details to share just yet. Please stay tuned.”

The tools and policies Google provides for Google+ will likely reflect the site’s emphasis on privacy and social connectivity. Developers are hoping to find out of Google+ will be compatible with Google’s OpenSocial social networking APIs.
