Google has launched a new certification program aimed at mobile Web developers. Receiving the Mobile Web Specialist Certification requires developers to pass a test on basic website layout and styling, front-end networking, accessibility, progressive web apps, performance optimization and caching, testing and debugging, ES2015 concepts and syntax, and mobile web forms. Test takers will also have to pass a 10-minute exit interview where they will explain some of their test answers.
The exam costs $99 and takes four hours. Those who do not pass on the first try can make up to two more attempts within six months.
