Eric Meyer’s CSS Reset Stylesheet Updated for HTML5

Jan 5, 2011

Eric Meyer is well known for the creation of a “reset stylesheet” that ensures that each web browser starts using the same set of display defaults. This week he released an update to his reset stylesheet which includes options for HTML5.

The latest version of reset stylesheet is available for download from Eric’s site. New aspects of the stylesheet include a few rules that have been removed, such as the font selector, along with new rules for handling HTML5 elements for older browsers.

Also fixed is an issue that previously set focus to invisible, a problem that previously caused people who did not define their own focus styles to not have ANY focus styles. In the new version, it is still included, but has been commented out.
