Adobe Flash 11 is Unreal, But Still Banned From Metro

Adobe’s Flash Player 11 update includes new features and functionality including the Unreal Engine with direct hardware acceleration, both within a web browser or any application that utilizes Flash 11. Microsoft is sticking to its guns, and will not support Flash in its upcoming Metro IE10 web browser.

Developers are eager to embrace HTML5, however Flash remains the top game platform for social media website Facebook, as well as for more traditional gaming websites. Although there are more and more websites that are providing an HTML5-based version of their game or service as an alternative to Flash, Flash still remains the most used technology for creating web-based games.
