Keynote-DeviceAnywhere’s Mobile Application Lifecycle Management Includes HTML5 Support

Oct 12, 2011

This week Keynote-DeviceAnywhere, a mobile application lifecycle management company, announced that its tools will support HTML5, allowing HTML5-based web apps to be tested through the use of object-level scripting on mobile devices.

The VP of Yankee Group’s Enterprise Research Group, Eugene Signorini, talked about the importance of testing mobile applications, and how the ability to test HTML5-based apps is paramount to the acceptance of mobile apps within the enterprise.

As Signorini put it, “Over the next two to three years, we expect to see a substantial move towards web-based mobile applications. HTML5-based applications hold a lot of appeal for enterprises as they attempt to scale development across a variety of different devices and device operating systems. Developing an HTML5 support strategy is crucial for enterprises right now, at the start of the growth curve.”
